Shanghai International Circuit

The Shanghai International Circuit is located in Jiading near Shanghai in China. It is known as the venue for the Formula 1 Grand Prix of China. The circuit is designed by Hermann Tilke and has a length of 5,451 km with 16 turns. The longest straight has a length of 1,175 km, which makes it one of the longest straights on the Formula 1 calendar.

Shanghai International Circuit has a unique shape of the Chinese character Shang like the 1st syllable of Shanghai, which means above. The long back straight of the circuit ends in a tight hairpin where amazing braking skills can be witnessed. The circuit has a few long straights, which make it a fast track.

Besides the Chinese F1 Grand Prix, the circuit also hosts the A1GP.
